An interim executive board (IEB) of governors has been appointed to work with senior leaders across the Thames Federation (Bayonne Nursery and James Lee Nursery and Melcombe Primary Schools) to ensure that all three schools provide high quality education for the pupils in their charge. The IEB consists of six very skilled members, drawn together by the local authority to provide governance in the medium term. In due course, the IEB will hand over to a substantive governing body.
The chair of the IEB, Helen Jones, is a very experienced education professional and governor. She is joined by Dennis Charman, who was until recently the chair of the federation and who brings a wealth of intelligence about the three schools, Fiona Lambe and Imogen Lavelle, both serving headteachers, Charlotte Kleiner, a leading teacher and Tim Scott, a school business manager. The interim executive headteacher, David Collins, is the professional adviser to the IEB.
All members are committed to working very hard in professional partnership with leaders and staff, pupils and parents, to ensure the very best for all pupils.
