Hammersmith & Fulham’s annual Black History Month celebration market is making a return for the start of Black History Month on Saturday 5 October.
The day market is running from 11am to 6pm in Lyric Square, Hammersmith, and it’s free and open to everyone.
There’ll be fun for all the family, with live music and African food from vendors including Perfect Caribbean and Deuce Hospitality. As well as stalls to browse from Curly Treats, Managing Our Mental Black Wellbeing, Hammersmith BID and H&F’s libraries.
A day of music
Sound tracking the event are popular local favourites including the New Generation Steel Band and H&F’s Linking Hands choir.
They’re joined by DJ Blueyez, Tiwa King and musical performances by violinists and a jazz band.
Local school children will also be performing a dance, and we’ll hear a few words from Dr Jak Beula from Nubian Jak Community Trust.
